Coffee and food is great. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. They have a no laptop rule to foster “communication” amongst patrons which is refreshing. Inside the seating is at a premium and people share tables. Different, but I like it. The staff is very professional but also very cool and nice. I don’t live in the area but if I did I’d come here all the time.

Nice little coffee shop in a cute area of east Haven. Coffee is 4/5 nice flavor, a tad bitter but in a good way. A few baked gods in the case. Limited seating inside and a small front deck, the noise from the air system next door is a little annoying but otherwise cool

I cherish this little place as a second home and stand behind the quality as well as the fantastic service of the good souls who work there. The drinks are fantastic and the food is always fresh. I get a egg n cheese with tomato and sriracha on a poppyseed bagel, and its bomb. Fast and friendly, consistently so.

Nestled in an old white clapboard house, this pint-sized coffee sanctuary somehow squeezes more character into its 400 square feet than establishments triple its size. Step through the door while minding them stairs, and enter a world where sunlight dances across worn wooden floors, casting tree-shadow patterns that change with the seasons. The tin ceiling and ornate fans hover above a carefully curated space where every plant, local artwork, and intentionally placed chair feels like it's been thoughtfully considered rather than merely arranged. With seating for barely a dozen souls, arriving after 9:30am is a game of caffeinated musical chairs that you're likely to lose badly. Their matcha latte—admittedly priced like it contains actual emerald dust—delivers complexity worth contemplating. The breakfast sandwich transforms simple ingredients into morning poetry, with fresh greens and smoked salmon creating a harmonious dialogue between sea and land that justifies its hipster premium. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to genuine connection—the refreshing absence of laptop glow creates an atmosphere where conversations bloom and strangers might become neighbors. The pride flag outside isn't just decoration; it's a promise that everyone deserves good coffee and a place at the table. Arrive early for those legendary almond croissants, stay for the surprisingly delightful espresso-tonic concoction, and leave reminded that sometimes the smallest spaces create the largest impressions.

Food was good with nice pesto Bagel and Smashed Avocado in toast. Coffee very good, expresso and latte both good. Plus really good cup of English Breakfast tea.

What a great use of such a small space for this coffee shop! I was greeted with a smile and the latte was deliciously made with good quality coffee ☕️ 🙌 There are nice food items on the menu that are mindfully created and not processed. The display of baked goods is inviting to taste. I highly recommend supporting this small business located in the heart of East Rock in New Haven, CT 😉

The house-made Lavender syrup (in an iced latte) was amazing, and the “Paisley’s Pesto” sandwich on house-made sourdough bread was so good I’m daydreaming about it still hours later! The owner, Heather, encompasses all good things, & the shop is located in a beautiful area of town….perfection all around! 10/10 recommend!

This a great place to grab a coffee and a bite. Coffee is all high qaulity, has a wonderful smell and tastes just right. It feels like a coffee machine is well taken care of and cleaned regulary, so no ash aftertaste. Pastry is fresh, I would even rate local croissants 3.5/5 by an absolute grade and 4.9/5 for US market. Atrisan sandwiches looks good and taste the same. And I especially recommend this place for a rainy day, feels very cost here. Only two negative aspects for me are the size and prohibition against sitting here with a loptop.
